Residents of Rehoboth and several surrounding areas will experience a planned power outage next Wednesday from 08h00 to 16h00 due to maintenance work on the Klein Aub 66-kilovolt power line.
The outage was announced in a notice issued by the Namibia Power Corporation (NamPower) last month.
Areas expected to be affected include all surrounding farms, Rietoog, Hochanas, Dornfontein, Kalkrand, Rusplaas, Wolfputz, Gurus, Duinfield, Limerick, Cowdray, Schlip, Tsumis, Rehoboth, Kanaus Noord, Nauchas and Gollschau.
According to NamPower, the maintenance work will involve servicing high-voltage equipment at the station.
“During the outage the power supply must at all times be treated as live, as we will re-energise without prior notification,” the notice reads.
