The police in the Ohangwena region are looking a man (21) in connection with the rape of his own baby (1) at Oshali Shakanalelo village on Thursday.
The suspect allegedly took the baby to his room, raped her and returned her the next morning.
The child’s aunt later discovered she had been sexually assaulted.
The baby was rushed to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital, where she is currently in a serious condition.
A case of rape has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
