Our Taxes For Free Burials

IT is time for elections again – a time when those who want to be in power start to communicate with their families with the aim of lobbying them to vote for them,
These types of people, before the election is called, never even attend funerals of their families down in the villages and people there only see them during the election campaigns, demanding people vote for them, while they forget that they are always being voted into power but turn their backs on those who voted for them.
When you become rich, you can’t see how people are suffering because you start to choose which people you can communicate, eat, and laugh with? But before you even went into exile you used to eat, laugh, communicate with the same people you ignore now. Today Namibia is about to go into an election phase.
The people of Namibians are suffering but our leaders they don’t see it and yet we are paying taxes too. With whatever you buy you need to pay tax, and all this money is going to the government of the day.
Please Namibia our government need to introduce a law which says if you die and you have been unemployed they can offer a free funeral and transport to the deceased, this will make people to vote for the party because they know for sure that when they die the government which they have put in power will look after them. Remember it’s not their choice to be unemployed so if we fail to give them loans and employment let’s at least bury them when they die. Today in this country you will find a person who died in 2008 still in the mortuary, reason being that the family of the deceased can’t afford the funeral expenses to bury them.
Please, this is serious and I have seen this happening,. Where are our leaders if our people are suffering in this way, why other projects are working smoothly? If they pass this into law Namibians will be very happy. This is a necessity as every person knowshe/she will die and people need to bury him. The government cannot say there is no money, people are paying tax and even air time is now taxed.
There is a saying that government cannot do everything.
A leader who needs bodyguards to guard him knows he is not doing well for his people, while a good leader will work freely without fear, and people will welcome him for what he is doing for them. Love Namibia, help Namibians with the taxes they pay. Put the tax for airtime back into to free burials for unemployed Namibians.
