A Woman with an intellectual disability was allegedly raped and assaulted while walking home between Friday and Saturday.
The incident happened between the villages Oshimangwashongete and Eendombedhiingula in the Omuthiya constituency of the Oshikoto region.
According to the police, the victim, a Namibian woman (25) whom the police describe as having an intellectual disability, was approached by a man who allegedly raped and assaulted her.
“It is alleged that the suspect is known and no arrest was made,” the police say.
Investigations into the matter continue.
