THE Oranjemund Town Council has put a community market project planned for this year on hold due to the surge in Covid-19 positive cases.
In a public notice issued today the town council said: “The health and safety of our community remains our top priority, and this is one of the precautionary measures the council is taking to avoid public gatherings . . . ”
The town council has encouraged vendors to apply for pop-up stalls, which will be designated at strategic areas within the central business district.
