A Police officer (43), Dimbulukeveni Kondjeni Namhila, has been denied bail by the Ohangwena Magistrate’s Court after allegedly fatally shooting Eliud Hamukwaya (38) during an argument at the Onhuno checkpoint in the Ohangwena region on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred while Hamukwaya was inside a truck. Namhila remanded in custody and is set to return to court on 3 June. Police investigations continue.
