Night burglars strike again

THE latest victim in a series of computer thefts that have plagued the country recently is Old Mutual group economist Robin Sherbourne.

Sherbourne yesterday lost a laptop computer containing much of his economic data on Namibia, as well as a number of other possessions, including a digital camera and clothing, after thieves broke into his home in Windhoek West early in the morning.
Sherbourne, who was home at the time, said he only noticed the burglary afterwards when he spotted a window standing wide open.
He has offered a reward to anyone who can assist in retrieving the computer.
The laptop is password protected, he says, and thus not very useful to its new owners.
Sherbourne can be contacted at 081 129 2502.
Earlier this week, Police reported the theft of an N$8 000 computer from a house in Windhoek’s Olof Palme Street.
The suspect in that case, a 28-year-old man, was found on the scene and arrested.
Police reported that he forced open the front door of the house to gain entry.
