TERTIUS Stears has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Financial Services Holdings Ltd (CFS) and Sanlam Namibia Ltd, with effect from July 1 2006.
Stears started his career with Sanlam Namibia Ltd (a subsidiary of CFS) in 1995 as Financial Manager and has since held various senior positions in Sanlam, the most recent of which was as Chief Operating Officer of CFS, a position he assumed in 2004. He holds Bachelor of Accounting and Honours of Commerce (Management Accounting) degrees awarded by the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.Stears takes over from Advocate Vekuii Rukoro who left Sanlam at the end of February to join First National Bank (FNB) Namibia.He holds Bachelor of Accounting and Honours of Commerce (Management Accounting) degrees awarded by the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.Stears takes over from Advocate Vekuii Rukoro who left Sanlam at the end of February to join First National Bank (FNB) Namibia.
