WESTERN Suburbs Rugby Club concluded a partnership agreement with FNB Namibia earlier this year. Through the new venture, the team was recently presented with their new playing gear, with some of the players and club members displaying the latest kit.
The kit includes training gear for the premier league team, women’s team and sevens rugby side. Dixon Norval of FNB Namibia says: ‘Not only are we thrilled to be part of the positive changes that Namibian soccer is currently experiencing, we also recognise and appreciate the efforts of other sport codes and clubs in our country. ‘Rugby is a popular team sport for both players and spectators and it is with great pleasure that we committed ourselves to supporting the FNB Western Suburbs Rugby club with the much-needed sports gear. ‘We wish them all the best in future endeavours as they are an important source of players for the national side that will hopefully participate in the Rugby World Cup 2011.’
