Nedbank Namibia has lowered some of its banking fees for the 2026 financial year.
The reductions include a 17% decrease in local debit card swipe fees for basic bank accounts and the removal of internet banking subscription fees for youth accounts.
There will also be a 13% decrease in debit card swipe fees and an 18% decrease in internet banking fees.
Additional measures include a reduction in internal debit order fees to help households manage recurring bills.
Chief financial officer Victor Maengahama says the reduction strategy focuses on affordability, digital transition and financial inclusion.
“Updating our pricing annually is part of our commitment to delivering fair, competitive and transparent banking that supports both everyday needs and long-term financial resilience,” says Maengahama.
He adds that the bank’s pricing model intentionally includes sustainability contributions, with a portion of all home and vehicle finance directed to the Nedbank Go Green Fund.
The new fees come into effect on 2 March.
