The Nedbank For Good Series continued its successful nationwide journey with three competitive coastal rounds hosted at Rossmund Golf Course, Walvis Bay Golf Club and Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate, attracting strong participation and showcasing some of Namibia’s top amateur golfing talent.
The coastal leg of the tournament delivered exciting competition across all divisions as players battled for valuable points ahead of the closing stages of the 2026 series. A total of 139 players participated in the rounds, which showcased a significant growth in the number of participants compared to previous years.
At round 10, held at Rossmund Golf Course on 29 August, Fabie Shilongo emerged victorious in the men’s division with an impressive 41 points. He was followed by Quintin Jonck with 39 points and Vilho Hanghome with 38 points.
In the women’s division, Suene Venter claimed first place on 35 points, while Tiekie de Wet and Rina Knight secured second and third place respectively after both finishing on 33 points.
The competition intensified at round 11 at Walvis Bay Golf Club on 5 September, where Sandro de Gouveia delivered the standout performance of the day to secure first place in the men’s division with 44 points. Grant Mather finished second on 40 points, while Simon Thompson took third place with 39 points.
In the women’s division, Corne Pitout led the field with an excellent score of 42 points, followed by Rina Knight on 40 points and Mariena Ludwig on 35 points.
The coastal swing concluded with round 12 at Henties Bay Golf and Lifestyle Estate on 12 September, where golfers once again produced strong performances in challenging conditions.
Tollie Cronje secured top honours in the men’s division with 39 points, narrowly edging Tienie de Wet on 38 points and Des van Heerden on 37 points. In the women’s division, Wilna Bredenhann claimed first place with 34 points, followed by Bonita Bredenhann on 32 points, while Nicolene Janse van Rensburg rounded out the top three with 25 points.
Tournament organiser, Dan Zwiebel, praised the turnout and logistical success of the coastal rounds:

The ladies’ competitions were particularly well supported, with players travelling between clubs to participate and support one another, reflecting the camaraderie and growing strength of the women’s game. With twelve rounds now completed, attention turns to the final qualifying event before competitors battle it out for a place in the prestigious season finale.
The next leg of the series takes place at Omeya Golf Club on Saturday, 26 September, while the Nedbank For Good Series Final will be held at the Windhoek Golf Club on Friday, 13 November 2026
