President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says public servants, regardless of their political associations, should be ready to implement the Swapo manifesto.
She was addressing the media at a press conference on Thursday afternoon, after she scored a 57% victory despite criticism of the electoral processes.
“If you want to do something, you should leave,” she said. This is a term Nandi-Ndaitwah quoted from her time as minister of international relations and cooperations.
She said she wants a team that will deliver on her promises of service delivery.
Nandi-Ndaitwah has dangled lofty promises of building 10 000 houses annually and creating 256 000 jobs if voters gave her the mandate for the next five years.
