Popular Democratic Movement president McHenry Venaani says Namibia’s freedom will not be remembered without the name of late founding president Sam Nujoma.
Venaani on Sunday paid tribute to Nujoma, who died late on Saturday night after a period of illness.
“There is nothing that we can say about freedom without remembering the towering role Sam Nujoma played towards Namibia’s freedom,” he said.
According to Venaani, Nujoma’s greatest legacy is freedom and nationhood.
“We owe him a great deal of gratitude for his unselfish contribution to the struggle for Namibian emancipation,” he added.
