Football takes centre stage this weekend with the second round of the Debmarine Namibia Premiership taking place throughout the country.
Khomas Nampol got off to a great start with a 2-1 victory against Tigers on Thursday night, with former Tigers star Absalom Iimbondi scoring both Nampol’s goals.
Both teams will be in action on Sunday again, with Tigers taking on Young Brazilians, while Khomas Nampol take on Civics.
Among the weekend’s other matches, defending champions African Stars face a double-header against Young African on Saturday and Ongos FC on Sunday, while Blue Waters are on the road, against Okahandja United on Saturday and Unam on Sunday.
The Namibia Futsal League continues with matches at the Windhoek Showgrounds, while the Namibia Short Course Swimming Championships continue at the Cube in Swakopmund till Sunday.
