Namibia Breweries opens N$27 million centre at Walvis Bay

NAMIBIA Breweries Limited (NBL) opened a new N$27 million depot at Walvis Bay on Wednesday.

The depot will distribute 30% of the company’s products, NBL managing director Wessie van der Westhuizen told the Namibian at the event.

The new centre will take over from the Swakopmund depot which was part of the Hansa breweries.

The new depot, which is said to be 10 times larger than the old centre, employs around 55 people.

NBL produces beer brands such as Windhoek Lager, Windhoek Light and Tafel Lager.

NBL’s results for the year ended 30 June 2018 revealed that the company’s income stood at N$2,6 billion, a 0,8% decline, while profit after tax increased by 25%, at N$398 million.
