A security guard died at the scene of an armed robbery at Namibia Desert Diamonds (Namdia) in Windhoek on Saturday evening.
This was confirmed by national police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi.
“It is alleged that an exchange of fire occurred between suspects and security personnel of Namdia,” she said.
Shikwambi said one guard died, two suspects were injured, and two were arrested.
“Officers are still at the scene. A full report will follow soon,” she said.
