Namdia security chief Francis Eiseb honoured at Keetmanshoop after fatal diamond heist

Friends and family have gathered at Keetmanshoop to pay their last respects to slain Namdia security chief Francis Eiseb.

Eiseb died during a robbery at Namdia’s premises in Windhoek on 18 January.

The police are still investigating the heist, while two suspects have appeared in court regarding the incident so far.

Trustco chief operating officer Max Endjala was also killed in the incident.

Namdia is yet to hold a press briefing regarding the robbery and the actual value of the stolen diamonds.

In the meantime, Public Enterprises CEOs’ Forum spokesperson Fluksman Samuehl in a statement said Eiseb was killed on duty while protecting the nation’s prized resources against greed.

“When Francis went out to work to fulfil his daily assignments on Saturday, 18 January 2025, his wife, children and family members never knew, let alone imagine, that this would be the last day, and that he would not be back forever.

“It is very painful as we mourn the departure of Francis from planet earth. Indeed, this is how unfair life can be,” he said.
