Naidjala retains African WBO title

Immanuel Naidjala beat Joseph Hilongwa on a unanimous points decision to retain his WBO Africa bantamweight title on Saturday night.

Fighting at a packed Windhoek Country Club, Naidjala was the aggressor from the start and raked in the points with his jab and quick combinations.

Hilongwa managed to land some blows on the counterattack but Naidjala had the higher work rate and pushed the tempo throughout.

He caught Hilongwa on the ropes with some quick combinations but Hilongwa displayed a good defence and managed to get out of trouble.

But he seldom had Naidjala in trouble and the Prince easily retained his title over 12 rounds, with all three the judges scoring in his favour.

Abmerk Shidjuu retained his WBO Africa flyeeight title with A split decision against Jafet Utoni, 116-112, 115-113, 113-116.

In a welterweight fight Simon Shafodino beat Steven Shimbonde on a R2 KO.

In a super bantamweight fight Nathaneal Kamati beat Noah Ntai on a R4 TKO.

In a junior lightweight fight Jeremia Nakathila bt Richard Muriri on a R1 KO.

In a lightweight fight Kennedy Kamati beat Erick Kalenga on points.

In a junior lightweight fight Nathaneal Kakololo beat Domicus Weulu on a unanimous points decision.

Julius Indongo beat Takudzwa Kuchocha on R3 kO

Samuel Kapapu bt Martin Haikali on a unanimous points decision 114-113, 117-112, 116-111

Sakaria Lucas became the new fearherweight champion when he beat Tommy Nakashimba on a 7th round TKO. Lucas knocked Nakashimba down in the 2nd and 4th rounds but Nakashimba beat the count but Lucas was all over him before the ref stopped the fight 1:10 into the 7th round.
