MTC has donated N$50 000 to the Development Aid from People to People (DAPP-Namibia) Centre at Onambelela in the Omusati Region.
The money will be used for an HIV-AIDS project it runs. Presenting the cheque to the centre, MTC’s Managing Director Bengt Strenge said his company was pleased to be associated with DAPP-Namibia and its projects in Namibia.He added that MTC was supporting the project for the third consecutive year.DAPP-Namibia Director Bjarne Risager said the organisation had grown from strength to strength in Namibia, The organisation’s main aim was to improve the living standard of people in Omusati, said Risager.Regional Councillor for the Anamulenge constituency, Generosa Andowa, welcomed the donation and called on the Centre to demonstrate responsibility and and accountability when spending the money.Presenting the cheque to the centre, MTC’s Managing Director Bengt Strenge said his company was pleased to be associated with DAPP-Namibia and its projects in Namibia.
