Man arrested for alleged repeated rape of teen in Oshana

A 59-year-old man from a village in the Oshana region was arrested by the police this week after he allegedly repeatedly raped a 17-year-old boy.

The incidents took place between January and 1 June this year.

This was confirmed by the head of Oshana police criminal investigations, deputy commissioner Frederick Ndjadila, on Sunday.

“It is alleged that during January, the suspect requested the victim to escort him to his house, and while on their way, the suspect started touching him inappropriately and raped him,” the police said.

The suspect then offered the victim an amount of N$200, Ndjadila said.

Then again, on Sunday, 1 June, the suspect requested the victim go to his house and raped the boy while there.
