Londt takes on new role in BoN

THE Bank of Namibia has appointed chartered accountant Lloyd Londt as the new director of finance and administration.

According to the central bank, Londt specialises in finance, management, auditing, business administration, management accounting, basic behavioural and emotional finance analysis, communication, facilitation and training.

He has over 16 years of experience in auditing, accounting and business administration in some of the country's largest corporations, mainly in the financial services sector.

"Honour and pride resonate within me, to be joining an organisation known for its service to the public, operational excellence and visionary leadership. My focus at the bank will be to contribute significantly by optimising value from financial resources, developing talent, and crafting a future-fit finance disposition,” said Londt.

The deputy governor of the bank, Ebson Uanguta, welcomed the appointment, saying the bank has lofty ambitions to digitally transform operations to meet demands and be a future-fit central bank committed to Namibia's prosperity.

“Lloyd will be responsible for delivering maximum value for the bank's resources and ensuring that we continue to operate cost-effectively to meet our mandate. With him on board, we are in a good position to do so,” said Uanguta.
