Learn about Australian vegetation types

NANYA is a former sheep station situated in the Mallee, in the south-western parts of New South Wales in Australia.

The surrounding region is classified as arid, receiving an average rainfall below 250 mm a year. Differences in soils have caused the development of various vegetation communities on the station. Dr Patrick Graz from the Multidisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Namibia will today, give a presentation on some of the vegetation, the animals found there and indicate certain adaptation of both plants and animals to the environment and to each other. The talk will be held at the National Botanical Research Institute, in Orban Street, No: 8 and will start at 19h00.
