Labrador Lea Home Again

Labrador Lea Home Again

AFTER all the bad news in the media about missing and even eaten pets let us give some good news for a change.

Readers of the papers may have seen our adverts in which we were searching our Labrador, Lea. Some weeks ago she disappeared from her home in Swakopmund. We stuck up notes, handed out flyers and placed adverts in the newspapers in which we asked for help with our search. Many pet lovers contacted us but no avail.Swakopmund SPCA recommended us to offer a reward of N$ 500 – as some pets found their way back to their homes in such cases.Eleven days later we received concrete hints about the whereabouts of our beloved dog. Some investigation and a lot of help from the SPCA were necessary but eventually led to the happy return of Lea to her family.Luckily she had been very well fed and not mistreated when we found her.Besides, the informant was not responsible for her disappearance! Why do we tell you this?- Everybody knows that things can get stolen. It was new to us that some people regard pets as things as well.- Should your pet disappear do not give up looking for it everywhere. Not unless you know for sure that it is dead. Some pets disappeared at the coast and reappeared somewhere in the north.- If you assume your pet has been stolen do not only blame the usual suspects. The people responsible for the disappearance might be people that you never would have expected them to be.- Contact the SPCA immediately. These guys are good! A very warm and hearty thanks to all the people who helped us to reunite our small family!Silvia and Holger SwakopmundSome weeks ago she disappeared from her home in Swakopmund.
