Kavango East’s netball team defeated the //Karas region in their game 12 encounter of The Namibian Newspaper Cup at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex.
It was an entertaining match, where both teams strove to come out victorious at the end of the match. The //Karas region led the first two quarters of the match, but Kavango East picked themselves up and equalised in the third quarter, eventually taking the lead in the final quarter.
Team //Karas’ Alta van der Westhuizen was the player of the match, and told The Namibian that for her, the game was challenging, but she is happy with how her team played. “It was an interesting game. Even though we did not win, I am pleased with the performance of my team,” she said.
