Katti-linked Sintana Energy lists in London

Sintana Energy has been listed on the London Stock Exchange, according to an announcement made by the company yesterday.

According to recent company disclosures, the biggest identified shareholders include Charlestown Energy Partners LLC, with 4.8% of the shares, Perga Capital Partners LP with 4.9%, and Namibian businessman Knowledge Katti with 4.4%.

The Canadian oil and gas company’s portfolio reaches Namibia, Uruguay and Angola with a market cap CAD240 million (almost N$3 billion).

Sintana Energy chief executive Robert Bose says the company’s admission to the London Stock Exchange’s alternative investment market is a significant development for the company.

“With listings and high-impact assets on both sides of the Atlantic, Sintana Energy is well positioned for significant value growth over the coming years, and to attract and deliver for a wider range of shareholders going forward,” Bose says.

The listing is a result of an acquisition late last year of London-listed Challenger Energy.
