Leading Namibian ICT solutions provider and systems integrator, Complete Enterprise Solutions Namibia (CES), has been awarded Veeam Accredited Service Partner (Vasp) status.
The company launched its new services in Windhoek on Wednesday as a Veeam Vasp partner.
“We are thrilled to have achieved Vasp status and are excited to launch our new services as a Veeam Vasp partner,” said PJ Kotze, general manager of CES Namibia.
“We believe that our services will provide unparalleled protection and visibility to every network segment, device and appliance, whether virtual, in the cloud, or on-premises,” he said, adding that this achievement is a first for Namibia and southern Africa.
This is a programme offered by Veeam Software, a multi-national company that specialises in modern-day data protection and provides data resiliency through secure back-up and fast, reliable recovery solutions for hybrid clouds.
It enables qualified service providers to provide unique business value and tactical support to larger organisations for legacy data protection solution migrations, private, hybrid, and public-cloud integration, business continuity/disaster recovery design, implementation and orchestration.
Information and communication technology ministry executive director Audrin Mathe shared insights on the draft data protection bill 2022, which aims to regulate the processing of personal information.
The bill also seeks to protect fundamental rights and freedoms, providing for the rights of data subjects, establishing a data protection supervisory authority, establishing obligations of data controllers and processors, and providing for applicable codes of conduct.
Lisa Strydom, the Veeam senior manager of channel and alliances: Africa, congratulated CES Namibia for achieving the Vasp accreditation, which is issued only to companies with the highest Veeam solution expertise levels.
