How To Make You Feel

If you hate deep conversations, you might want to skip this column today.

So here’s the gist.

Do you know that feeling in your stomach when you meet someone for the first time and your whole world changes? It’s not really love at first sight, but it something… deeper.

Maybe it’s butterflies in your stomach every time you think about them.

Maybe it’s a really weird curiosity that you can’t explain.

Some people brush it off like it means nothing, while other people embrace it and embark on the pursuit of love. Or something like love, I don’t really think we truly know at first.

But when this connection grows stronger the more you look at this person and you never want to let them go, the world suddenly makes so much sense that you want to bang your head against the wall, maybe.

Point is, it’s a positive feeling and that’s the way it should be.

I love to tell people that it’s not just about the feelings you have about someone, but it matters when they feel the same way about you. If you’re suddenly feeling used and deplorable, then you know something has got to give.

Abuse exists and because not all people are for peace and prosperity, they’re going to bring you down for various reasons. I know, people can be evil.

There are those who intentionally make you fall in love with them out of jealousy and use you, abuse you and do all kinds of things to you to break down your morale for the rest of your life.

And you know what’s sad about this? Some people are used to this kind of behaviour because of their childhood, for example. All they know is hatred and abuse which they have been constantly surrounded by and it’s going to take someone incredible to turn this all around. So be that person.

Be that person who brings joy and happiness to someone’s life, because you never know what they have been through. As much as they smile with you every day, you end up falling in love with this side, but when you see their deep, dark side which they normally hide from others, you end up bolting. Is that really love? I do not think so!

But hey, like they say, if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

A relationship comes with the good and the bad. And you’re going to have to learn how to cope with that.

Don’t be that person who leaves your partner to fend for themselves when they’re in a tricky situation. Be the pillar they want to lean on and maybe things will turn out for the best.

Forgive my blabbering today, but I was quite inspired by a story of a man and woman who fell in love with each other and then separated after years and could no longer find each other due to various circumstances. And this just prompted me to think about how we should treat people while they are here.

Honestly, there are those who fall in love with one person and get hurt so bad that they don’t believe real relationships exist any more.

People out there are feel love is not worth their time, but I think it’s time to stop running away from it. If there’s someone out there who makes you feel good about yourself, loves you for who you are and treats you right, don’t let them go.

It’s becoming more rare by the day to find someone who changes your life for the better. Wishing you all the best!
