Govt sends social workers to Kavango after poisoning

The ministry of health has dispatched a team of social workers to assist a community in Kavango East after suspected food poisoning claimed the lives of 13 people.

The poisoning victims are from the village Kayova in Kavango East.

They are suspected to have eaten contaminated porridge.

The health ministry said in a statement on Tuesday: “These professionals will educate the community about safe food preparation practices and the potential dangers associated with combining food with potentially contaminated substances.”
