GOSPEL musician Nashy Makoma, who ministers, praises and worships God through her songs, is back with a bang.

This time she is offering a 10-track album, titled ‘Omwene Shikoneka’.

The album, which was released earlier this month, is produced by Rodrique Ntsika, the lead guitarist of Tulela Music Production.

Makoma says this is one of her best works thus far, as she has grown as a musician.

“This album is my testimony, and walking in His right path has enabled me to believe in God,” she says.

She says the title of the album means God already knows no one is perfect, which is why he prepares the way for people and corrects their mistakes.

The album features ‘Tutangeni Omusindani’, which praises the Lord, who has defeated death, she says.

Another song, ‘Amushe Ileni’, encourages people not to be afraid of God as he sacrifices everything to protect them.

‘Until We Meet Again’ is dedicated to Makoma’s late parents.

“This song comforts the hearts of all who have lost loved ones,” she says.

According to her, the album is also meant to heal hearts.

Makoma started her music career in 2012 as a backup singer for reggae bands Setson and the Mighty Dreads, Kasheera, and Tenten.

She was inspired by Aretha Franklin, Steve Kekane, Mike Kalambay, and Madly System to become a gospel singer, she says.

She sings in Oshiwambo, Lingala, and English.

Her first album, ‘Omwene’, was released in 2013, and was produced by Olloy Music Production.

She released her second album, ‘Walk in the Light’, in 2017.
