The Great Global Reconvergence Council (GGRC) has selected Mbakumua Tjaveondja as its diplomatic liaison for Namibia.
His position is voluntary.
Tjaveondja joined the council in the latter half of 2025, when he was formally selected to join its national team following an application process.
“What initially drew me in was the intellectual audacity of the GGRC’s founding proposition: that the economic gap between the world’s richer and poorer nations is not a permanent condition, but a narrowing one.
I believe Namibia is an indispensable protagonist in that story,” he says.
Tjaveondja served in various positions at the One Economy Foundation, but is currently a consultant under the youth opportunity pillar.
GGRC founder and chairman at Oxford Business Group Michael Benson-Colpi says the project launched just 13 months ago, focusing on showcasing the faster growth rates now being enjoyed across the Global South.
