Geingob appoints Ndeitunga as Ohangwena governor

President Hage Geingob on Wednesday appointed former police inspector general Sebastian Ndeitunga as Ohangwena governor.


Ndeitunga replaces Walde Ndevashiya effective 16 November.


“President Geingob hereby relieves Walde Ndevashiya of his duties as governor of Ohangwena region with immediate effect from 16 November,” the presidency said in a statement on Wednesday.


Geingob thanked Ndevashiya for his service during his tenure as the governor of the Ohangwena region.


Ndeitunga served as police chief from 2005 until his retirement last year.
