The Erongo Regional Council will this week critically assess the progress it has made, as well as challenges that lie ahead.
Speaking at the opening session on Monday, council chairperson Benita Imbamba said the retreat is a platform for critical reflection, strategy development, and tackling challenges.
“The purpose of this retreat is to create a dedicated space for our elected leaders and senior management within the Erongo Regional Council to engage in meaningful and strategic decisions,” she said.
Imbamba said the retreat is vital because it allows council members to step away from their routine administrative tasks and focus on broader, more strategic issues.
“This is our time for reflection, realignment and looking ahead with fresh, innovative ideas and solutions,” she said.
The gathering, hosted at the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management, will conclude on Wednesday.
Key objectives include fostering team cohesion, innovation, and planning a transformative roadmap for better service delivery and responsiveness to community needs.
