WINDHOEK television junkies can now indulge in sport or their favourite soapie from the palm of their hands.
On Friday, DStv Mobile launched their latest innovation, the Drifta – a mobile decoder.According to Kobus Bezuidenhout, MultiChoice Namibia general manager, ‘technology continues to transform the way the Namibian consumers access news, information and entertainment’.In a statement, MultiChoice spokesperson Claudia Blohm said the mobile decoder, the Drifta, receives the DStv Mobile (DVB-H) broadcast signal and relays it over WiFi to a range of WiFi-capable devices. These includes laptops, PCs, tablets such as the iPad, smartphones, iPhones and iPods, she said.Currently, there are four Drifta bouquet options available – a free bouquet (Channel O only), the mini bouquet, maxi bouquet and maxi-plus bouquet.
