Comedy lovers can expect two nights of non-stop laughter when Dr Tone Production presents ‘Crackers’ in Windhoek next weekend.
‘Crackers’ is said to be a compilation of live stage comedy skits featuring outrageous characters, unexpected twists, and humour that speaks directly to Namibian life.
The production, written by Oiva Neshila, popularly known as ‘Dr Tone’, and directed by Timothy Mulondo, will run for two nights on 4 and 5 September at the College of the Arts Theatre School, opposite the Bank of Namibia.
Dr Tone says there won’t be any comedians but rather live performances of comedy skits about relatable Namibian scenarios.
He says the best show they had so far was their first show in July 2022, which was staged at the College of the Arts Main Campus.
“We accumulated about N$2 000, not bad for our first gig,” he says.
‘Crackers’, according to Dr Tone, promises relatable scenarios, sharp social commentary, and the kind of comedy energy that has become his trademark.
Audiences can expect a mix of skits that poke fun at everyday Namibian life, family dynamics, and the quirks we all know.

Dr Tone does funny animal/cartoon voice overs and reaction videos on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
He has about 105 090 followers on TikTok, 13 000 subscribers on YouTube and 79 000 followers on Instagram.
The entrance fee is N$80 for pre-sale and N$100 at the gate.
Tickets will be issued as QR codes and delivered via email or WhatsApp, which patrons will show at the gate for entry.
The show starts at 18h00 on both nights.
