Donlu Africa founder Llewelyn Adams recently announced on social media that the streaming site is changing its website domain from www.donluafrica.com to www.donlu.africa.According to Adams this is intended to showcase their brand and commitment to the African continent, and to establish a home for African music while expanding their regional influence.“The expansion forms part of Donlu's regional plans to penetrate more African markets and make more African content available on the platform. In doing so, we automatically make Namibian music more accessible not only by an African market but a global market in search of African music,” Adams said.He believes this is an important move because global revenue in the music streaming segment is projected to reach US$29,7 billion in 2022.“We have cemented our place within the Namibian market, but now it's time to increase our market share within Africa,” he said.Advocating for Namibian musicians to be able to earn their livelihoods from making music, Adams told unwrap.online he has faith in the newly chosen Namibian Society of Composers, Authors and Musicians board, as the only music royalty collecting agency in the country.“I love the diversity of the new team. They can only succeed if we all work together,” he said.– unWrap.online
