‘Danko’ script hunt is on

The hit song 'Danko' by the Musketeers, who comprise Georgio van Wyk (stage name DJ Jojo), Tangi Tuyoleni Nghipetekwa, DJ Skull, and Tokyo Berrid Manjara (known as DJ Zonesh), recently reached over two million views on YouTube. In an interview with unWrap.online, Knowledge Iipinge explained that their vision with the competition is to give their fans and 'Danko' lovers an opportunity to be part of their journey and to show their gratitude for the enormous support they have received.“We are looking at creativity and a real Namibian story that complements the appreciative nature of 'Danko', irrespective if its coming from a qualified, experienced or untapped raw talent out there. Our plan is to unpack the value chain of the music industry through our export marketing strategy and monetise 'Danko' through incorporating and creating synergies with the secondary sectors of the industry, ranging from film production, fashion, branding, media, intellectual property and copyrights, which had been overlooked significantly in the past,” Iipinge said.'Danko' has made quite an impression both at home and abroad and has gone viral in African countries such as South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The song has also clocked over 984 000 streams on Spotify and until recently was the only Namibian song that made it to the list of the top 500 songs on All Radio South Africa. – unWrap.online
