D-Naff the deacon

D-NAFF, a multiple award-winning artist and former rapper and singer, actor-turned-gospel artist, is now preaching the gospel of the Lord as a deacon and led from the pulpit last week Sunday.

As he stood in the pulpit, with a golden cross hanging on his chest and black headband, D-Naff preached “your star will shine”.

“One thing we should all understand is that life is spiritual. Don't navigate yourself into the world without understanding that this is a spiritual world, and without God and the holy world we are actually illegal here. Life is so spiritual that you need to be connected to somebody superior than the gods of this world,” he preached.

He stressed that people are not sent to heaven or to hell, but they choose to go to hell or heaven. He reminded the congregation that they are born as stars and are obligated to keep this star pure so that they can be saved.

“The stars speak of your shine. The stars speak of what you are about to become. Like Jesus was just a child but he was about to become King. Stars are different in sizes and brightness.”

The former street gangster told unWrap.online magazine afterwards that his spiritual father Haruna Goroh believes that preaching is one of his main callings.

“He has been praying with me so that when that day comes I should be able to answer that call. He is the one who mentored me since 1998 together with his wife prophetess Titilayo Goroh.

“The grace of God has always been upon my life ever since 1998, but I'm the one who behaved like Jonah. I ran away and focused more on the music, the issues, pleasures and worries of life, and the spotlight that came with the fame,” he said.

He said God has given him several other gifts – singing, and motivational and inspirational speaking.

D-Naff, real name Naftalie Shigwedha Amukwelele, has also won the 2021 Maranatha Awards in the United States, for the best inspirational speaker and life-coach award.

The US awards show acknowledges effective kingdom diplomacy globally and is facilitated by Maranatha Global Revival Networks, the church in which D-nNaff is now ministering and sharing the good message.

Before this, D-Naff teamed up with Lady May Africa to release a new music video 'Lamb of God' on Good Friday, the music video was directed by Eric Mule and long-time producer Elvo did the mastering, while Ghanaian blogger and writer Ama Larbie Africa wrote the script.

D-Naff has been releasing new songs since he turned gospel artist after rapping for years, and has also worked with Nam Gospel United as well as Lady May to create the song titled 'Let it shine'.
