THE community of Tsumeb can look forward to a weekend of exciting sport when the organising committee of the Copper Festival hosts the Metropolitan Sport Events at the Oscar Norich Stadium in Nomtsoub this Saturday.
The event is open to business companies, Government ministries and educational institutions only and offers basketball, volleyball, seven-a-side soccer and netball.The event serves as a countdown to next week’s Copper Festival at the United Nations Park in Tsumeb and teams are encouraged to enter for a fee of N$250.The co-ordinator of the event is Heiki Tjapaa and he can be called at 081 288 3821.Sports Club Outjo hosts GunnersSPORTS Club Outjo’s football team will today play Namibian Premiership side Mighty Gunners in a friendly at the Etoshapoort grounds. The Kunene League Second Division outfit are calling on all sport lovers to turn up in numbers and support the team. ‘We want to expose the team to the big guns so that we pick up valuable experience,’ said the team’s management. The game starts at 16h00 and entrance is free.
