Buried drought relief food unearthed at Otavi

Otavi residents on Friday allegedly discovered several cans of fish suspected to have been part of drought relief.

According to police, the cans were found buried along the gravel road leading up to Gabus Lodge.

“The cans were severely decomposed and rotten,” they say.

The find was called in to the police as well as the regional council office, who dispatched a representative to the scene to make an assessment.

The police will continue to investigate the matter.
