NAMIBIAN lightweight boxer Mikka Shonena’s dreams of landing a medal at the Commonwealth Games, underway in New Delhi, India were shattered yesterday.
Team Namibia’s General Manager Anna Wimmert told Nampa yesterday that the Namibian boxer lost a four-round bout against Mark O’Hara from Northern Ireland yesterday by six points to three.
Meanwhile, Welterweight boxer Desmond Mujandjaije Kasuto will trade blows against South African opponent Lusizi Siphiwe today.
The Commonwealth Games officially kicked off on Sunday, and will conclude on October 14.
