BigBrother Africa: Under cover in the house!

OKAY people, all I can say in this opening statement is THE HEAT IS ON! If you spent most of your weekend watching the shenanigans in the Big Brother Africa 2 house, you would definitely agree with Yours Truly.

Remember the much-vaunted Hollywood couple Beniffer, which sadly fell apart, and then Brangelina and later TomKat? Well, relationships have been established in the house and we now have Maxrato (Max & Lerato), Kwaryl (Kwaku & Meryl), Codereen (Code & Maureen) and of course the new and maybe questionable pairing of Richiana (married Richard and Angolan Tatiana). With four couples in the mix, can the BB house get any more interesting? This is a great scenario and much better stuff than the first Big Brother in which we all had to suffer through the Gae and Babby saga.Now here we have more couples including a scandal-laden one between a married man and ‘the other woman’.I am sooo loving it! BIBLE THUMPERS & PARTY HATERS This scenario leaves born-again Christian Bertha and Nigerian Ofunneka as the only singles in the house.Well, at least the two are independent women who don’t seem to need men to boost their ego nor image…Friday night saw a partied-up Meryl doing her sexy moves on the dance floor.The girl is flexible as was seen with the ‘lap dance too far’ that she gave her man Kwaku.Thank God the show is rated 16NL because it was not Family Matters viewing for the young and “innocent’! The same night saw the Namibian girl ‘obsessing’ over the Ghanaian hunk.This actually led to the brother telling Ofunneka and Bertha that he was beginning to feel suffocated by the relationship.However, Ofunneka the ever rational and calm person, advised Kwaku to take it easy and handle ‘our smallie’ with care.Remember Meryl at 21, is the baby of the house, while her beau is 30.Lerato, who seemed jealous that Meryl had done a sizzling hot kwasa kwasa dance – and, boy, was it hot – with Max, took advantage of Meryl’s ‘cranky’ behaviour to gossip with Bertha.She then went to grab Kwaku literally from the arms of Meryl to ‘wind’ for him on the dance floor.HOT AND BOTHERED The same night saw Richard and Tatiana get all hot and bothered and spend most of the night cuddling, whispering and laughing in the hammock outside.This seemed to drive some viewers into an excited frenzy, with many people actually supporting Richiana! Who would have thought? I guess their lovable characters have made them endearing to the public.Hell, the two beautiful people also make a sexy couple and are fun to watch.Later in the early hours of the morning when Richard and Tatiana finally dragged themselves into the house, Richie Rich was at pains to try and tell Code that what he shares with T is just pure companionship.Well Code just told the playa to do whatever he deems best after all he is a ‘grown-assed dawg’ who should be able to handle his business, and be responsible for his actions.For the first time, I do agree with sleazy Code.DARE YOU! Saturday was one of the best days.It saw a game that got sexpots Tatiana and Meryl kissing much to the bemusement and appreciation of the randy male housemates and the many men watching from the around the continent.Never saw Jeff move so fast – to get a ringside view of the action; Richard dragged out the designated time to prolong the moment; and Code and Max were all but in the girls’ faces “to observe” – if it wasn’t a movie, you would have thought they were part of the action.And Kwaku? Well, he seems to be a man of the world and took it in his stride.The exchange of saliva continued with people being dared to kiss whoever.But Richard was unimpressed when it came to his girl Tatiana being dared to kiss Code, but he, however, shared a passionate wet one with the Angolan babe, in a claiming-his-territory kind of way.He actually said it was the best kiss he had ever had! Now what did wifey Ricki think of that? To me that was a major diss to his Canadian spouse.Meryl didn’t seem too happy when Bertha and Kwaku locked lips, while Ofunneka all but devoured Kwaku during their close encounter.Everyone had their views.At this moment I wished Big Brother would have played ‘The Girl Is Mine’ by MJ and Sir Paul followed by ‘The Boy Is Mine’ by Brandy and Monica! These songs would have been the appropriate channel for the green-eyed boys and girls to send the message through to their fellow housemates.Viewers had a whole bag of thoughts on the kisses.Some said Tatiana and Richard shared the best kiss, while others gave the thumbs up to Bertha and Kwaku, Max and Lerato, not forgetting Tatiana and Meryl.UNDER THE COVERS Max and Lerato seemed to imply it was their first major kiss.Can it be? There’s sure been a lot of fumbling going on under their bed covers, but maybe they’re both just light sleepers.I think Max is very conscious of how far he is SEEN to be going, especially having ‘a shortie’ back home.On the surface, but not necessarily under the blankets, he’s playing a measured game.Saturday night saw all four couples sharing beds, and everyone is jumping to their own conclusions on what’s going on under the covers.Sex, drugs (well, alcohol) and rock ‘n’ roll – let the love show go on!With four couples in the mix, can the BB house get any more interesting?
