EEEUUUUUUUW! Seems double trouble may have turned into plain trouble, with a capital T, for the McMoongos.
Word in the blogosphere yesterday was that a couple of the housemates seem to have cottoned on to our twins, Edward and Erastus. As you know, the twins swap places in the house at fairly regular intervals.Housemates are not supposed to notice that anything’s amiss and if another housemate works it out, he should be sworn to secrecy. The twins can co-opt up to three housemates, but if a fourth housemate finds out, it’s game over, and the twins both play as one. They get nominated as one and evicted as one! If they pull the wool over the housemates’ eyes for a full four weeks, then they get to play for the US$200 000 as individual housemates. Not sure, though, if Edward and Erastus are on to the fact that people are on to them!Seems Quinn and Jeremy may have rumbled the twins. For now, we’re just going to have to wait and see how it plays out.I have to say that I’ve been feeling that our twin powers really need to up their game. They’ve not exactly been twin peaks of entertainment so far. E-squared are being plain square. They need to get their lord-of-the-manor dressing gowns off and their game on. Eish guys, your Dad puts on more of a show in the National Assembly!OK, BBA nation, pressed for time today. I stayed up way too late last night watching the final of the US Open (PLEASE don’t tell the Editor!), so just a guide for cheaters today. •The boys are off the hook. Despite going through the nomination process, the voice posing as Big Brother told the guys that as two of them were shown the door on Sunday night, no one would leave this week. Cheers all round. Sighs of relief. Fantasies of beer, and more beer. Even more conspiring.•If the guys had been up, viewers would have had to choose between Hannington (Uganda) and Jeremy (Kenya), who both received five nominations. Our Edward was not far behind. He received four nominations – along with Mozambique’s Leo-‘ just call me karate kid’-nel .•The girls were also asked to nominate. Seems Nigeria’s Geraldine and Emma from Angola received the most votes. However, as happened with the guys during their first week, Big Brother told them that they’ll ALL be up for eviction. This prompted a combination of both relief and nervousness! And a hectic night of partying.•But what it also means is that our girl Rene is up for eviction. So get voting Namibian BBA fans. One week is too short for anybody. And way too short for Namibians!! Rene’s got fans and haters – a guy from Nigeria on the Oboma forum is desperately trying to whip up support to get Rene out the house, and he’s beyond pushing the boundaries of nasty. He’s out and out venomous, and spits poison faster than you can say rattlesnake. He’s even been taken to task by some of his countrymen but is persisting in flicking his venom-sodden tongue.OK, that’s about it. But have to give a big shout out to WhiteSockGirl, holed up in a BBA enclave somewhere in the south of Namibia, as well as Segololo and Cande and others on the TVSA blogs (tvsa.co.za), who chronicle the daily goings-on of the housemates and help fill in the gaps for those times when we can’t watch.
