Big Ben is set to host an outdoor live concert in Windhoek’s Zoo Park on 18 April.
He says while many recent events have leaned heavily on backing tracks and quick sets, he is doubling down on the “live” element.
He adds that his goal is not only to have a band play music while people watch, but to create a shared moment where the artist and the crowd are in sync.
“We are preparing for an experience and not just a band playing music,” Big Ben says. “We will go through the emotions of each song together, interact, dance, and be in concert together.”
It won’t be a one-man show. To keep the energy high from start to finish, the stage will also feature The Ells and DJs Kiki and Ambizzy.
‘’Tickets are currently in Phase 2, selling for N$200. If you wait until the day of the show, you’ll be paying N$300 at the gate,”event organiser Salmi Shigwedha says.
‘’If you’ve seen Big Ben before, you know he’s all about high energy and connecting with his audience,” she says.
“The show is being pitched as a celebration of local culture and talent, a chance for fans to get off their phones and feel the music in a vibrant, outdoor setting,” she concludes.
