Bank Windhoek sponsors junior tennis tournaments

Holding close the value of sports development, Bank Windhoek has sponsored the Namibian Tennis Association to host the Bank Windhoek South Central under-18 Circuit and the Bank Windhoek NTA u18 tournament taking place in April and May 2016 in Windhoek.

Top players from various countries are expected to compete at the Bank Windhoek South Central u18 Circuit in an attempt to improve their rankings. Some of the countries expected to enter teams are Namibia, India, South Africa, England, America, Portugal, Australia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.

The Bank Windhoek South Central u18 Circuit tournament will be held from 29 April to 7 May 2016 while the Bank Windhoek NTA u18 tournament will start on 8 May and conclude on 14 May 2016.

The matches will take place at the Central Tennis Club and SKW with all quarter-finals, semi-finals and final matches taking place at the Central Tennis Club in Olympia.

Several notable Namibian players such as Dantago Gawanab, Archie Norval, Tevin Tait, Yed Malan, Jessica Riedel and Paul Schwiegers will participate in the play-offs.

These events contribute to junior world ranking points for the u18 boys and girls while 64 boys and 48 girls are due to compete in these tournaments.

The NTA thanked Bank Windhoek for their considerable sponsorship that will enable the hosting of these events.
