THE second group of beneficiaries in the Ongwediva Town Council’s mayoral community backyard gardens programme has completed training to improve household food security.
The training was held at the Sam Nujoma Multipurpose Centre and marked the final intake of beneficiaries under the current programme.
The programme equips residents with practical skills in vegetable production and sustainable gardening to improve household nutrition, strengthen self-reliance and support better livelihoods.
After the training, the beneficiaries visited the Ongwediva Community Garden at the Ongwediva Town Council premises for practical demonstrations.
During the visit, participants learnt how to establish, manage and maintain productive backyard gardens.
