Back to School

It’s that time of the year again when school re-opens.

Those who worked hard throughout the year and passed with flying colours are promoted to the next grade, while a number of you who didn’t make it either remain in the same class or stay at home to improve your grades. But this doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. It’s just an indication that you’ve got to go the extra mile and pull up your socks.

There is nothing as painful as failing Grade 10 or 12. The pain is so intense and it feels like the world is falling apart. Everyone abandons you and your parents scold you non-stop. As a result, many teenagers turn to drugs and alcohol just to relieve some stress, but this is never the solution. In this way, you are just adding fuel to the fire.

Do you really have a good excuse as to why you are on the verge of giving up? It’s too early to give up. Give your dreams a second chance. Failure has never defined anyone in life, it’s our successes that make us who we are. So stick to the fight when you are hardest hit. It’s when things go wrong that you must never quit.
