A 23-YEAR-OLD man lost his hand early this morning when a train drove over his arm at Usakos.
An Erongo police report issued early this morning stated that the accident happened around 02h30 when the man, Seun Goseb, was allegedly sleeping on the railway tracks near the train station when the train came along.
Goseb was discovered by a security guard who was guarding the building opposite the train station.
The latest accident comes three months after Tasric de Koe (21) was run over by a train at Usakos. De Koe was allegedly sitting on the tracks when he was hit.
He died later in a Windhoek hospital after sustaining serious injuries, which also included fractured legs.
There have been similar accidents and casualties in the same area over the years.
