MANY Namibians enjoy a drink.
But many people go beyond a drink. It is a great concern that Namibians are misusing alcohol.I as a member of the Stand Up Movement am very much concerned about the misuse of alcohol. Alcohol can lead to a lot of things, such as women and child abuse, teenage pregnancies and HIV-AIDS.Alcohol can lead to people not being able to take care of their responsibilities at work or at home. It can also lead to violence and road accidents (drinking and driving).I hope that my voice will be heard and that we as a society, we as Namibians, will stand up against alcohol misuse.Esther TheofelusStand UP Movement memberWindhoek
