AKA to headline Fantasy Festival

POPULAR South African hip-hop artist AKA is set to headline the Fantasy Festival which takes place on Saturday, 13 December at the Action Arena in Olympia.

The multi-award winner is set to perform alongside our very own Ace DaBase and Hansolo, offering what organisers tout as ‘an escape from reality’.

This is the ‘Run Jozi’ rapper’s second visit to ‘the land of the brave’ and he expressed excitement to be back, especially as it provides an opportunity for his Namibian fans to experience him performing live.

“I value my Namibian fans, just like all my fans from other African countries.

“They do not get to see me, so I am looking forward to performing for them.”

AKA promises to not only bring the audience and his fans his latest music, but also to have a few flashbacks on some of his hits from his first album. Apart from performing on Saturday at the festival, AKA, who lands in Namibia on Saturday, says he is open to working with Namibian artists should the opportunity arise.

“I do not have any particular artist in mind, but if I have enough time I would like to connect with some of the artists,” he said.

The Fantasy Festival kicks off at 12h00. Ticket prices are N$200 for general access in advance at Computicket and N$250 at the gate. VIP tickets are N$750 in advance and at the gate.

AKA will do a live interview on Radio Energy at 15h00. Fans can tune in and stand a chance to win one of two tickets to the festival.
