Bushwackers Butchery and Bottle Store will host an art and wine evening to showcase local visual artists and introduce a new South African wine.
The event is set to take place at the venue’s beergarden on 29 August from 18h00 until midnight.
It promises a fusion of artistic expression and fine wine, providing a platform for local creatives to exhibit their work in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
“Bushwhackers is proud to host this event as a celebration of Namibian talent and to introduce Contreberg Darling, a distinctive new wine to the local market,” says general manager Cintain Schulze.
“Contreberg Darling is a piece of craftsmanship in itself. Its complex, inviting flavours pair harmoniously with a variety of Namibian dishes, making it the ideal companion for an evening of art and conversation,” she says.
Schulze says participating artists will not only display their work, but also have the opportunity to speak about their creative process, inspirations, and personal journey.
“This is about more than just viewing art – it’s about connection and storytelling,” he says.
“Artists will be engaging directly with guests, creating a unique and interactive cultural experience.”
“The goal of this exhibition is to create a welcoming and inclusive platform for visual artists who may not have had previous opportunities to showcase their work,” Schulze says.
“Many emerging talents face systemic challenges, limited access to resources, or remain underrepresented on mainstream artistic stages. This event is designed to bridge that gap, offering artists meaningful exposure and the chance for their work to be seen, appreciated, and even acquired by guests on the night.”
Visual artists who wish to be part of the showcase are encouraged to apply by submitting a portfolio or watermarked samples of their work via email to bbb@nambush.com.
The deadline for submissions is 30 June.
